Spider-Man Punk: Rocking the Spider-Verse

Hobart Brown, aka Spider-Punk, was a homeless teenager who was bitten by a radioactive spider due to President Norman Osborn’s toxic waste dumping. The disguised vigilante of Earth-138 who fought against fascism and the corrupt systems of the world, he who strived to make this world a better place to live in, is our very own Spider-Punk. With his roaring guitar, the funky-spiky outfit and everything just so red and blue, the punk-rock inspired Spiderman led the subjugated people of New York against Osborn and his troops.

He even bashed Osborn’s head with, well, his guitar and managed to kill him, later unmasking himself to the crowd. Recruited by Superior Spiderman, Spider-Punk became a part of an army of Spidermen. The Spider-Geddon (2018) plotline features Spider-Punk against Thunderstrike. Spider-Punk’s superhuman strength, reflexes, agility; his genius level intellect, and his musical abilities is what makes him so cool and astounding.

Hobart’s persona

Hobby Brown is an anarchist and with his punk-like attitude, he is very against authority. This is also reflected through him being a performer and his preference of performing self-defined acts of unpermitted political action under the cloak of performing acts. After joining the Spider-Society, Hobie made great friends with Gwen Stacy and Pavitr Prabhakar. He is a fairly gregarious and extroverted person. He instantly clicks with both Pavitr’s carefree and youthful attitude and Gwen’s musical abilities as a drummer.

Dress up like Spiderman Punk

Hobie Brown’s Spider-Punk outfit is not only amazing to look at, but it also possesses Rock Out power. This is a dual-purpose skill that can be quite useful in combat. Those that put on the costume first blast adversaries in the hair. When the player is overpowered by adversaries, Spider-Punk’s guitar waves will cause these flying foes to fall backward, allowing them extra room to battle.

Spider-Punk is the perfect cosplay to represent as it is not only an immensely cool outfit, but it also has spikes! What more could we possibly want?
