Born as a Frost Giant, the son of Laufey, the king of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, he is abandoned and later found by Odin, the king of Asgard. Odin adopted Loki as his son, raising him alongside his biological son, Thor. Loki’s relationship with his adoptive brother, Thor, is characterized by rivalry, jealousy, and conflict.
