Doflamingo is subdued in a battle against Luffy and- wait, wait, wait. Not the timeskip. Let’s start from scratch. Born a Celestial Dragon, he turns out to be the antithesis of his benevolent father Donquixote Homing. His father leaves the nobility to live among the commoners and the entire family is persecuted with the father dying and the mother always on her deathbed. Doflamingo is the one who commits the patricide.
Having underwent a traumatic childhood, Donquixote Doflamingo forms the Donquixote Pirates and deals with trafficking of weapons and production of artificial devil fruits. Member of the Shichibukai; he topples the Dressrosa government and wrongly employs his Ito Ito no Mi power for manipulating the public, and whatnot. Eventually, Luffy gets the better of him in a fight and he is sent to Impel Down to rot.
The underworld broker ‘Joker’ can create, control, and manipulate strings at will. Moreover, Doflamingo demonstrates the ability to awaken his Devil Fruit powers, which enhances their potency and grants him even greater control over whatever is in his vicinity. Doflamingo also possesses Haoshoku Haki which aids him in asserting himself and exerting his willpower over others. He can manipulate people by controlling them like puppets, literally.
