Jeff Feige
Chief Executive Officer

Jeff has worked exclusively for “NewSpace” entrepreneurial space companies as a consultant for both government affairs and government marketing for the past four years. Prior to his work directly with these companies, he was employed as the Assistant to the Executive Director of the Aerospace States Association, an organization devoted to developing the aviation and space industries through the tools available to state government. Prior to that, he served as the Washington D.C. representative of the National Coalition of Spaceport States, an organization intended to encourage the development of private spaceports throughout the United States. In addition to his work in the NewSpace industry, he has also worked as the VP for government and investor relations for Talon Aerospace, an LED lighting firm that develops internal and external lighting solutions for the commercial air transportation industry.

Chris Gilman
Chief Designer

Chris is Founder and CEO of Global Effects Inc., one of the best-known and respected special effects firms in Hollywood. Founded in 1986 Global Effects occupies a 20,000 square foot facility complete with machine shops, design studios and a large costume rental business. He has over twenty years of experience in the fast moving and deadline oriented world of film and TV production. His forte is spacesuit replicas, for which he is acknowledged as the industry leader, and his work has been featured in dozens of the top space films of all times. Not just a costumer, Chris is known for his technical prowess and engineering work as well. He won an Academy Award for his “Cool Suit” climate system for actors in heavy costume, and has developed prototype EVA suits for NASA.

Dennis Gilliam
IS3 Program Manager

Dennis Gilliam has twenty-six years of experience in the development and testing of state-of-the-art guidance and avionics systems with extensive experience in technical management, development programs, and flight test. Throughout his career he has worked for a number of companies including, but not limited to Northrop Grumman Corp., TRW, Kelly Space and Technology, Global Effects, Atlantic Celtic Films, and DHG Industries. Krysta Paradis
VP of Operations and Finance

Krysta's previous employment was with the Futron Corporation of Bethesda MD, where she managed data relating to the Space satellite industry. Prior to and following her work at Futron, Krysta has been an executive consultant for Dynamic Graphics, a subsurface modeling software company, whose primary business is focused on exploration for the oil and gas industries. Krysta lived in Moscow between the years 2003-2004 during which time she assisted with the setup of Dynamic Graphics first office in Russia as well as held a position working for the former chief of Police of Moscow. She speaks Russian and has a dual degree in Astrophysics and International Relations from Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

Jonathan B. Clark M.D., M.P.H.
Team Leader, Survivability

Dr. Clark is a board certified medical doctor, retired Naval flight officer and high altitude parachutist and one of the world's top experts on crew survivability in air and spacecraft. This became his major focus after the loss of his wife, Dr. Laurel Clark, aboard the space shuttle Columbia in 2003. Dr. Clark served as a member of the Spacecraft Survival Integrated Investigation Team at the NASA Johnson Space Center and was recently appointed by NASA to their Constellation spacecraft EVA Review Board. He is a Space Medicine Liaison with the National Space Biomedical Research Institute at Baylor College of Medicine, President of the Space Medicine Association of the Aerospace Medical Association and on the advisory board of the National Center for Space Biomedical Technology. Dr. Clark is a former FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) at the NASA JSC Flight Medicine Clinic and was a member of the NASA Aerospace Medicine Board and NASA Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects. He worked as a Space Shuttle Crew Surgeon in the Mission Control Center (MCC) on shuttle missions STS 92, 96, 99, 102, 105, and 111. He flew as a DOD space shuttle support flight surgeon for STS 49 and 104.

Rick Tumlinson
Founder/Chairman

Named one of the most influential people in the space field by Space News, Rick has also been called one of the top Visionaries in the field. Rick helped create or fund many NewSpace firms and projects and ran the $25 million Foundation for the International Non-governmental Development of Space (FINDS), co-founded LunaCorp - which produced the first commercial to be shot in space, signed up Dennis Tito as the first commercial space flight participant and led the team which leased the Russian Mir space station for a year (the world's first commercial space facility.) He helped start the Lunar Prospector project which discovered water on the Moon, was a member of the Air Force's DC-X single stage rocket team, and produced media materials used to fund the International Space University, the X-33 and other projects. He has testified 6 times in front of Congress on space issues, and appeared or been quoted in almost every major media publication and outlet of note, from the New York Times to the BBC, from CNN to the People's Daily in China. Amaresh Kollipara
Team Leader, Commercial Operations

For several years, Amaresh has served as a management consultant to companies in a variety of industries. He is currently working as a business advisor to space entrepreneurs. In this role, he has been one of the pioneers in assisting space entrepreneurs navigate the world of venture finance. In addition to co-producing the 2006 Space Venturing Forum, he will be serving as the Executive Producer of the 2007 Symposium on Space Venture Finance, a day devoted to enhancing investor - space entrepreneur communication. Prior to assisting entrepreneurial space companies, Amaresh enjoyed a successful career in strategy consulting. During this time, he developed management recommendations for clients in a variety of industries, including high technology, aerospace, and energy. He specialized in creating operational plans for Global 500 companies such as Cisco, HP, and Siemens. Amaresh's diverse professional experience also includes roles as a biotechnology researcher, planetarium presenter, and physics teacher. Amaresh holds an MBA degree from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. He also earned a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology from the University of California at Berkeley.

Larry Kuznetz
Suit Development and Thermal Systems

Dr. Kuznetz is one of the nation's top experts in astrobiology and human factors in space. He received his PhD at Berkley, and has published several peer-reviewed papers and has several patents related to space and spin-off technologies. He is well known for his work leading the
development of Mars exploration suits and specializes in thermal systems for space suits. His mathematical models for thermo regulation were used during the Apollo program to help plan EVAs on the lunar surface. He was on the Space Shuttle return to flight working group after the Columbia accident, and is credited with generating the updated Flight Rule used by shuttle Flight Directors now used by the agency. Dr. Kuznetz was Bioastronautics Flight Experiment Manager for the International Space Station and Space Shuttle and lectures at institutions such as MIT, Stanford and the University of Texas. He has also been an independent consultant to private industry in the areas of thermal control and human performance in extreme environments and holds 8 US patents and 1 pending.

Dr. Jim Logan
Head of Human Factors

Dr. Logan has held numerous positions at NASA including Chief of Flight Medicine where he was personal physician to the astronauts and their families, Chief of Medical Operations and Special Liaison Officer to the Space Station Program Office at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. As Project Manager for the Space Station Medical Facility, he developed the initial design for a telemedicine-based in-flight medical care delivery system for long duration missions. A pioneer in telemedicine, he is a founding board member of the American Telemedicine Association. He has also served as Provost for International Space University in Strasbourg, France as well as a consultant for The RAND Corporation.

Al Newcomb
Team Leader, Personal Electronic Network (PEN)

Allen is an expert in electronics, data acquisition systems and systems manufacturing and integration with a broad field background and understanding of design and development issues. He designed the engine status avionics for the SpaceShipOne XPrize vehicle in 2004, invented the Cygnus Onboard computer used in many race cars, the world's smallest altimeter, as well as the DataStar instrument data collection and processing computer for small rockets. A real world engineer, Allen graduated with a BS from the University of Missouri and joined Bendix Corporation as a systems engineer early in his career. Besides owning and driving his own Formula 2 race car, which puts him squarely in the seat of someone dependant on complex life support systems, he has participated in many space projects beyond those listed, and is known for his innovative approach and cross-field knowledge.

Rick Searfoss
Crew Suit Systems and Development

Rick Searfoss is the chief test pilot for Xcor Aerospace. In addition to his work with the NewSpace industry, he has piloted two Space Shuttle missions and commanded a third, with over 939 hours in space and 5400 hours flying time in 61 different types of aircraft. His first space flight in 1993 set the record for the longest duration Space Shuttle mission. In 1996 he piloted Atlantis to the Russian space station Mir. Colonel Searfoss was the number one graduate in his United States Air Force Academy class overall, academically, in engineering, and in the Aeronautical Engineering major. He later earned a graduate degree from the California Institute of Technology on a National Science Foundation Fellowship. Outstanding Young Men of America, distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons (Topgun) School and U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. His many awards include F-111 Instructor Pilot of the Year, Air Force Aero Propulsion Laboratory Excellence in Turbine Engine Design Award, Distinguished Flying Cross, Defense Superior Service Medal, and NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal.

Jim Cohen
Chief Strategic Officer

Jim has founded several businesses and served as a marketing consultant to major companies for over thirty years. His entrepreneurial successes include Liberty National Bank, ACH Financial Services (acquired by Electronic Data Systems), and a global dealer distribution network (acquired by Chrysler Corporation). Mr. Cohen's clientele have included Disney, Fox and Turner Broadcasting, Hughes Aircraft, Security Pacific and Northern Trust banks, General Motors, Chrysler and Penske Automotive Group. His articles and commentary have been published nationally by The Wall St. Journal, Robb Report and Journal of Estate Planners.

Dr. Bill Stone
Team Leader, Personal Life Support Systems (PLSS)

Bill is the CEO of Stone Aerospace, and is along time and well-known player in the field of space development. A PhD in structural engineering, he also brings an extraordinary appreciation for the importance of failure proof life support systems to OO. As one of the world's leading cave divers his life and those of dozens of others in his historic expeditions have depended many times on their flawless operation - which makes it surprise he is one of the leading designers in the world of closed life support systems and supporting technologies. His MK5 system provides divers with 20 hours of life support at depths of 150 meters. A true renaissance engineer as well as explorer, he has many patents on life support and other technologies and has published over 150 engineering papers. He is an expert in the design of biometric and life support monitoring systems, and developed breakthrough technologies in the areas of composite tankage, scrubbing and PLSS systems of all sorts. His technologies and ideas have been adopted by NASA in several areas, and branching out from human systems he has spearheaded the agency's plans for robotic exploration vehicles for Europa, including a robotic mission to the bottom of the Marianas trench in the Pacific.
